NEW MBC PRODUCT!

Bask in all its glory, the greatest head ever made! Purchase this head and your polo gear here

Since the day I laid my wooden mallet to rest I have been playing off and on with this material. It can with stand the punishment of a parking garage and glides effortlessly on a smooth tennis court.   UHMW is used in a million different ways From Military Body Armour to Hip Replacements check it out on Wikipedia.

So down to the concept: A light mallet that needs little to no “speed” holes, that  will also last longer then your average HDPE/ABS head. Hence the step down design. You have a thick outer ring for wear and a thinner wall for saving weight.

Weighing in around 100 grams this thing is LIGHT! Compare it to other heads/material.

Red HDPE weighs 110 grams at 5 1/2”.

Fixie inc. weighs around 80 grams at 5 1/4” length, stock holes.

I’ve never weighed abs. If you have feel free to submit via comments.

If you feel the need to play with a crazy light mallet. You can drill this head out but be smart about where you place your holes and how big. To much to close and it will collapse much like any other head you’ve ever used. Dillman suggests putting your larger holes on the side rather then the top due to tripoding.

This is a prime example of over drilling.  If you did this not only would the head collapse but it would also weigh the same as a paper clip. Far too light.

Not the best comparison but its the only photo I could find.

Here are the specs via MBC

  • Inner Diameter: 2″ (50mm)
  • Inner Wall Thickness: .15″ (3.8mm)

    when it rains it pours

The weather in Milwaukee is currently 38 degrees & rainy. Brian & I spent the day scouring the city in search of ski poles we defiantly hit the jack pot. I may live blocks away from probably the biggest stash of shafts in the world but I still love the thrill of finding a grade A 7075 Scott. Also nothing beats the used sports store clerk telling all the customers that “those boys over there are world champions of bike polo” and then people wanting to shake your hand. check out some ballin’ Scotts

I’ve been home from NYC for a mere 2 days & I miss it already. I did so much, there is so much that could be said but there’s really no need to get romantic about it. Anyone who has been to the city knows how amazing it can be. My favorite part about the trip was that I managed to spend at least some time on a roof top every night, this photo is from Katie’s house looking at the Williams burg bridge a good night on a roof but not the best one.

    Hit & Run

Our dearest friend Chombo was involved in an accident a few days ago. “I woke up on the pavement, spitting out teeth and blood after clearly being unconscious for an undetermined period of time….I think I may have been sideswiped by a delivery car. I woke up alone and injured….poured peroxide on my face….I found my teeth on the ground just by simply following the blood trail….p.s. I had a helmet on!” – Chombo

Chombo has no insurance and no one to sue that pants off to pay for his new grill. Please please donate some money to our injured friend, so that he may eat corn off the cob and slay goals around the world!
